What a little stinker!

The Dr. just came in and did an ultrasound to check the amniotic fluid levels and look at the baby. The fluid levels are fine but, she is flipped. She was head down on friday night. Sometime since then she has decided she doesnt like being on her head as much as she likes being on her feet I guess. Stubborn little girl! I dont know where she gets it from! She hasnt even been born yet and already she does what she wants and doesnt listen to her mommy. When I am done typing we are going to have a good long talk.

Because she is breached there are a few more risk factors. They will be monitoring every 6 hours now instead of every 8. There is also the risk of the cord coming out first which would mean an emergency c-section.

It is funny because after I had Gabe I thought that there was no way a 2nd pregnancy could be much worse. Apparently I was wrong. I am just glad that I know there is an end in sight and 3 years from now this will all be a memory.

I have internet!

So, this is Erin.  Thanks to my awesome sister I now have internet access!  I am still in the hospital and will be until I have this baby.  So far we are doing well.  We are just taking it one day at a time.  Our little girl is a trooper and very happy and healthy still.  I am doing pretty well too.  thanks to everyone for all of their thoughts and prayers.  I can tell that the Lord is with us and our family and have faith that everything will work out and be just fine.    I will update with any changes.

Erin is in the hospital

On Friday night Erin's water broke. She hurried to the hospital where she will be staying until she delivers our baby. Her doctor is hoping to make it to 34-35 weeks before delivering the baby, which means that Erin will be at the hospital for 2-3 more weeks. She is staying at the downtown St. Lukes in the AntePartum unit on the second floor. While undertaking the long dull stay in bed she would welcome calls or visits from friends and family.

Happy New Year...and Such

So as tomorrow is New Year's Day and the start of 2009. I thought it would be appropriate to change my blog background. I loved this one because as many of you know I have a thing for frogs. Well our Christmas was wonderful. We had lots of fun with all of our family. As we start the new year I feel like there is so much to do! I cant believe that our baby girl is due in 9 weeks! I only have either 5 or 6 Dr. appts. left! I am so ready for this baby to be out and in the real world. However, as I was driving today I realized, as if for the first time, that I am going to be the mother of 2 kids! Jon keeps telling me that we are finally going to be a REAL family. He says that anything fewer than 2 kids is just sissy stuff. Well, look out buddy because ready or not we are going to be a REAL family before you know it. I am worried we wont know what hit us! Hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR and WONDERFUL 2009!

Gabe just woke up and came downstairs. As he looked at our Christmas tree the first thing he said this morning was, " OH NO! Oh my gosh! Plug in the LIGHTS Mommy!"

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We hope that everyone has had a wonderful year. We have had a great year! The year started with Gabe's 1st birthday. He turned 1 the end of January and is preparing for his 2nd Birthday. He already has the "Terrible Two's" down to an art. His favorite song this holiday season is "Jingle Bells". He sings it,"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all way." He recently discovered that he loves watching Elmo and Kung Fu Panda.

Erin spent the beginning of the year training for her 1st half marathon. She ran in the Famous Idaho Potato on May 17th with her sister Meghan. She didn't do very well but she did finish!
At the end of June we were surprised to find out that there would be a new addition to our family. We are pregnant with a little girl. She is due March 2, 2009. Erin spent the second half of this year sitting around the house due to pregnancy complications. We are happy to say that everything is going really well now, baby and mom are healthy and happy:)

Jon is really happy that he now has his wife back. He is especially glad that she can go back to her duties as homemaker/clean up crew. He has really enjoyed our YMCA membership. At work he has once again switched positions. His parent's company, where he is working, recently had to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy, due to the current economy. We hoping that everything will work out for them and us. He is also considering going back to school to get an MBA. He will be taking the GMAT this month.

We are so grateful at this time of year for family and friends. We could never thank you all enough for all of the help that we have received over the past few months. We are grateful for the gospel and our knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so happy to celebrate his birth this Christmas season. We hope that everyone is doing well. We would love to hear from all of you. We try to update our blog at least once a month, sometimes more so check back every now and then to see what we are up to.
