Jon and I planned a trip to Washington D.C. last summer. It was going to be our first trip together as a couple. When we booked the trip I was not yet pregnant. One week before we were scheduled to leave I was put on bedrest. Therefore we had to cancel that trip.
We have had vouchers from those tickets ever since.
We finally decided that we will be going to Denver with our kids. We will be flying in on the 29th of July and flying home the 5th of August. It should be lots of fun. Jon has never been, it will be fun to show him around. Let us know if you are there and want to see us! We want to see all of you!

The evil laugh
Yesterday I was folding laundry and Gabe was playing upstairs. The vacuum had been left out. Jon is always teasing Gabe and telling him that the vacuum is going to suck him up. Gabe brought the vacumm into my room and said, "You better watch out mommy. I am going to vacuum you up! WAH HA HA!" Again I could not stop laughing. He is so funny. Such a little copy cat.
Jonathan!
Yesterday we went to our niece Violet's Birthday party. Gabe was a little slow getting out the door. Jon threatened to leave us. He closed the door to the laundry room as I was helping Gabe get shoes on. Gabe yelled out, "JONATHAN! Don't leave us! That is NAUGHTY!" I could not stop laughing!

One moment was perfect
There was a moment in my day yesterday that was perfect.
After spending a few hours grocery shopping and cleaning up I was taking a break on my bed with Gabe and Lydia. As we sat and talked, Lydia all of a sudden spit her binky out. It went flying through the air like a rocket. I laughed so hard! Then Gabe started to laugh and Lydia followed. In a matter or seconds all three of us were hysterical. We laughed for a couple of minutes.
Then Gabe and Lydia both had the hiccups.
It seems so simple and stupid, but it was perfect. That is what life is about. Finding joy in all of the little things. A moment of pure laughter.

So long Julius
About 3 1/2 years ago Jon and I bought our first pets, two Beta fish. He named his Julius, so, I named mine Brutus. The only reason that Jon let me get the fish to begin with was that he didnt think that they would last more than a couple of months. For the last year or so he has been hoping that they would die so that we dont have to clean out the bowls anymore. Well, this morning we woke up and found poor Julius dead. So long little fish. We flushed him down to a watery grave.

Waiting in the car
After the Zoo we went to Subway to get some lunch. Meghan was nice enough to stay with the kids in the car.
the ZOO
We took Gabe to the Zoo for the first time this year a couple of weeks ago. Since the last time that we went they have added an African Plains exhibit with lions and Giraffes. It was also Gabe's first time on the Carousel. We had a lot of fun. When Gabe saw the lion I asked him what he thought. His response was,"Pretty good Mommy."
Hiking Table Rock
On Memorial Day we decided to got for a hike. We hiked up Table Rock. Gabe loved it. Lydia slept almost the whole way.
Fishing
A few weeks ago we went fishing with my in laws. They own a lot down near the river. In the subdivision they have a few small ponds that they have stocked for fishing. It was Gabe's first time and he loved it. He found a long stick and kept putting it in the water like he was going to catch something. Jon caught this fish and Gabe loved it!
More Lydia
One morning the sun was coming in our window by the window seat perfectly. I couldn't help but snap a few shots of Lydia
Boys love trucks
Grandpa Doug picked this truck out for a Christmas present. Gabe loves it. There is a real crane arm that moves. As you can see, It's a Tonka!
Lots of Lydia
I have had a few people tell me that I dont have enough pictures of Lydia on here. This past month I have taken a TON of pictures of her. Here are a few. There will be more later.
Shaving Cream
One day Gabe was bored and running in circles around the house. I decided that it would be fun to play with shaving cream. When I worked at a daycare center we did this with the kids and they loved it. Gabe had tons of fun. When it was time to clean up he told me he wanted to play in it again.
