GIRLS NIGHT!

Lydia was really sad that she didn't get to go to the game. That all changed when I told her that we could paint her toenails. I painted her toenails and fingernails red, white and green for Christmas.

Then I took the plunge and let her paint mine as well. Some of you might think that I am crazy, but a few months ago a friend of mine let Lydia do her nails. She told me that she use to let her daughter who is now 7 paint her nails all the time. I decided to let go of my control freak issues and let her just do it. We both had so much fun and the next day in the shower I just scrubbed off any polish that was on my skin. I think that I will have to do this more often. She was so proud of herself.

GO BRONCOS!

Gabe went to his first Boise State game on Saturday! We had a friend call early that afternoon and he gave us free tickets to the game. Jon took Gabe and they had a BLAST! Before the game we decided to use some blue spray on hair dye to prove to everyone that Gabe was a real fan. He was so excited when I sprayed it on and then got nervous and wanted me to wash it off. He thought that he would be the only one at the game with crazy blue hair. As soon as we explained to him that there would be other people dressed up too he was ok with it all. We have some pictures from the game but they are still on Jon's phone. Despite the freezing temperatures, a good time was had by all.

Turkey Shirts and Potty Training

Every year for Thanksgiving I make my kids Turkey shirts. This years shirts were inspired by a pin I saw on Pinterest. It took us 4 tries to get a good picture where both kids are actually giving real smile but I think that it was worth it don't you? This year we had Thanksgiving lunch with Jon's family at a church building and went over to Chelsea's for dinner with my family. The highlight of the day for me was when Lydia went potty all by herself at the church. We started potty training her a few weeks ago and she is doing really well. I am glad that she as #2 down and hasn't had an accident with that one for at least 2 weeks. #1 is a little trickier for her. If I tell her to go potty every hour or 2 she gets it but left on her own she gets busy and too distracted to go until it is too late. So after almost 5 straight years of diapers we are happy to be diaper FREE! Woo HOO!

A Rare Occasion

Very rarely Bridgett trust our kids enough to let them pet her. This was one of those occasions. It was so cute to see them both sitting and petting her instead of torturing her.
